California Industry Sector - Health Science & Medical Technology

The Patient Care and Sports Medicine Pathway is designed for students who are interested in Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Medicine, Fitness, Nursing, EMT, Kinesiology, Nutrition, and other Healthcare related fields. Students begin this pathway with Honors Body Systems & Disorders, which provides an overview of anatomy, diseases, and medical terminology. After successful completion of that course, students may choose to enroll in a capstone class including Allied Health and Medical Wellness, Medical Assisting, Dental Assisting, Pharmacy Assisting or Athletic Training. Field work at our Golden Valley athletic events will be possible during the 3rd and 4th year of participation in the program.
