Nissan of Valencia Car Givewaway

Nissan of Valencia Car Givewaway 11th and 12th graders are eligible to win a brand new car. Click here to read the story and find out how to become eligible. Eligibility will be announced after the 3rd quarter, March 20th.

Please remember that students will be losing privileges this quarter based on second quarter attendance and grades. Loss of privileges may include: Upcoming events (such as dances, rallies, and admission into basketball games) and off-campus lunch privileges.
Open Enrollment 2015-16

Open Enrollment 2015-16 Attention Parents and Guardians:
Golden Valley High School has been identified as an open enrollment school for the 2015-2016 school year. Open Enrollment forms will be available at the registrars' offices beginning January 12, 2015.
Any transfer requests for 2015-2016 to schools that are not identified as Open Enrollment should be made through the Intra-District Form available online beginning January 12, 2015.

GV Artists Take Top 3 Places

GV Artists Take Top 3 Places Santa Clarita Valley recently held a Canvas and Technical Art Contest with the theme,
"Building Communities". GV had the top 3 winners in the Canvas Art category. Congratulations to; Brittney Jones, 1st place; Robert Cortez Navarro, 2nd place; and Abigail Yang, 3rd place. Each of the winners went home with ribbons, certificates and prize money. The art classroom also received an equivalent of $300 in prize money. GV had 10 students selected in the top 20 category for Canvas Art and 1 student entered and placed in the top 20 for Technical Art. Congratulations to all Grizzly artists who participated.

GV Girls Basketball Rally Falls Just Short Our Lady Grizzlies fell down big early but fought back and dropped a 49-47 game to Patriot High School of Riverside. What a great comeback. Congratulations on making the playoffs.
GVHS Participates in Science Olympiad for 1st Time

GVHS Participates in Science Olympiad for 1st Time Mr. Zayas took GV's first team to compete at a science competition in the Antelope Valley. GV took 7th place out of 19 school, including a 1st place in "Game On". Way to go, GV!
GV Dance Team to send all four routines to Nationals!

GV Dance Team to send all four routines to Nationals! GV's dance team hit it big at the USA dance regional at John Burroughs High. Small hip hop won first place open, gaining 6 points more than last year. Most excitingly, our character dance moves into the championship category. All four routines will be going to Nationals with the strongest point average the team has ever had in its five year history!
