Noteworthy: Currie became the state leader this season in the 200 meters with a time of 23.65 seconds to win the event at the Mt. SAC Relays. The standout junior is one of the fastest sprinters in California. She had a time of 11.73 at the Redondo Nike Track Festival earlier this season, which is the third-best 100 time in the state this year. Currie is also part of Golden Valley’s 4×100 relay team, along with with Kylee Davis, Ta’Ahjah Fann and Nevaeh Williams, that took first place at the Mt. SAC Relays and set the fastest time in the state this season at 46.03.
