Welcome to Golden Valley!  I am the proud principal of this amazing high school.  As I start my first year as Principal, I come with a wealth of experience as an Assistant Principal of GV for the past 11 years.  I have worked with ASB, our English Learner program, Athletics, on our beautiful facilities, and so much more.  I have 20 years of experience in education with all of those years with the Hart District. Prior to her becoming an Assistant Principal, I worked as a Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) consulting teacher and Induction mentor for three years. I worked at Canyon High School from 2005 - 2011, where I taught Anatomy and Physiology, Biology 2 and SDAIE biology, (Specially Designed Academic Instruction in English).  In addition, I was a professional development team member, Induction mentor, and ASB Director. I began my teaching career at Hart High School as an Earth Science and Biology 2 teacher from 2004-2005.  I earned a Bachelor's of Science in Biology from Cal State Long Beach in 2002, a Master's of Art Specializing in Cross Cultural Education from National University in 2006 and an Administrative Credential from Cal State Northridge in 2011.
Golden Valley is full of opportunities for all students academically and through our extra-curriculars, including athletics, VAPA (visual and performing arts), and clubs.  Get involved and get excited for a great 2025-2026 school year!  I look forward to working with all the students, staff, parents and community members over this next school year.
