GVHS Boys Soccer
Hello everyone,
As I enter my 9th year at Golden Valley, I continue to look for new challenges and new ways to grow our program. Over the years, this program has evolved and changed in so many ways that sometimes it feels hard to imagine what the next step of growth can look like.
This year, our focus is: community.
We have built a strong community within our program over the years, but I don't believe we've ever unlocked its full potential. This year, we want to focus on more than just the players on the field. We want to focus on the impact we can have when everyone is involved — players, parents, families, friends, coaches, administration, alumni, and anyone else who wants to be part of Golden Valley Boys Soccer.
Our program should be about more than wins, losses, practices, and games. It should be something people feel connected to and proud to be a part of.
To all of our new players, welcome to the program. I'm excited to get to know you, coach you, and watch you grow into your full potential.
To all of my returning players, welcome back. I look forward to continuing to build our relationships and seeing how much further we can take this program together.

Welcome to the 2026–2027 Golden Valley Boys Soccer season.
Gentlemen,
As we head into the 2026–2027 season, our program continues to grow in attendance and participation.
This year's Summer Camp saw another record-breaking number with 82 players participating. Over the 10 sessions, we grew together as a program. Our returning players continued to excel and set the standard on the field, while our new players embraced the challenge with open arms. It was a great way for our coaching staff to begin evaluating players and organizing teams for the upcoming season.
Our two tryout dates brought over 110 players out to compete for the opportunity to represent Golden Valley Boys Soccer with pride.
As we have done in previous years, we made the decision to limit roster sizes in order to create the best possible environment for development, competition, and playing opportunities. Varsity will carry 22 players, while JV and Frosh will carry 20 players each.
In addition, each team will have a small group of selected reserve players. These players will have an opportunity to continue working toward a roster position, with our coaching staff reevaluating roster needs at the end of the first semester. This will help us maintain healthy and competitive roster sizes throughout the season.
At this time, I would like to congratulate all of the players who earned a roster spot this year. The selection process was not easy, especially when it came to selecting our new players. Thank you to everyone for the effort, commitment, and hard work you showed throughout Summer Camp and tryouts.
For those who were not selected, I want to extend my sincere gratitude and encouragement. Making cuts is never easy, especially when so many players have put in a tremendous amount of effort. I strongly encourage you to continue developing your skills, improving your fitness, playing whenever and wherever you can, and return ready to compete at our 2027 Summer Camp.
Our program continues to grow, and I want to create more opportunities for players who want to represent Golden Valley. This year, I will be working on a project to explore the addition of a fourth team to our program. There is still work to be done to make that possible, but I am excited about what it could mean for the future of Golden Valley Boys Soccer. More details will follow.
