Description
English 11 is a journey through American literature, in which students will be exposed to a variety of different texts, fiction and non-fiction, with the goal of sharpening their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. Although reading and listening are integral in any English class, we will place special emphasis on speaking and writing. We will do a great deal of writing in this class and learn to appreciate writing as an essential mechanism for communication. I believe in my students, and I am confident that their best and my best will result in our success. "Success is peace of mind, which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming." (John Wooden)
Success is peace of mind, which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to become the best of which you are capable.
