3) Paragraph Shrinking - each students was given one paragraph from CH 1 SC 2 to shrink in to a sentence of no more than 25 words (needs to be a complete sentence that summarize the main idea and key points). Students posted their sentences around the room and used them to start the Cornell Notes on the Roman Empire (see handout)
