What are DNA and Genes?
1. Please watch the video.
2. Answer the 10 questions provided.
3. Draw a dog. Make sure you follow the instructions and then upload it and turn it in: Choose a trait from each row. There are two pages. You can only choose one head, one body type, one eye type...etc. I hope this information clears things up. Do not worry about the symbols. If we were in class the students would have randomly chosen a symbol for each trait and would have constructed their dogs based on the symbols they chose. Draw your dog on a piece of white paper. It does not matter if it is a lined or blank piece of paper. Take a picture of it and either email it to me or upload it. Sorry if I weren’t clear enough!

With this activity, I would like for you to compare your traits to as many people as you can in your household. You will find three papers attached. One is an inventory for you. One is named an Inventory of My Traits. Each person who participates in your family needs to complete one. The next page is named An Inventory of My Traits - Data Table. You will record how many people had each trait. Then you will complete a graph.
