We will be working on our social contract for this class. Prior to this task, you must explore empathy. You are to read texts or watch videos that help you explore the topic. Once you have done your research you must create a visual interpretation of what empathy means to you and how you could become more empathetic. On the back of your paper you must cite your two sources using MLA format. You may use the paper that has been provided for you or you may use your own paper as long as the size of the paper is 8 1/2 by 11 or larger. In summary: 1. Watch and cite two sources (videos, text, podcasts etc.) 2. Create a visual representation of empathy (using the entire space): What does it mean to you? How you could become more empathetic? 3. On the back of the paper you must write your name and class period. 4. On the back you must cite at least two sources using MLA format *The more creative the better... Speaking Skills Assignment - Take notes on the video: I. Identify what is useful in terms of the topic II. Explain how the video and its information is useful to the presentations that will be given on Tuesday. III.
