What are your hours?
Monday-Thursday 7:15-3:15  We are closed throughout the day for classes.

1-hour late start Fridays: 8:15-3:15

2-hour late start Fridays: 9:15-3:15 (pending staff meetings)

INTERVENTION is held in the library starting at  3:15,  Monday-Thursday.  Please check the school schedule for updates and changes. 


How many items may I check out at once?
You may have a total of five items checked out at one time.

How much money will I owe if I return my books late?
Fines on books are $.15 per day (does not include weekends or vacation days).Special fines may apply for short term loan items. Fines must be paid before new items are loaned.

What happens if I lose a book?
You will be responsible for paying the price to replace the book.  

Do I need to have my ID with me if I want to check out books?
Yes, you must have a current Golden Valley High School I.D.

Can I renew a book?
Yes, you may renew a book once for another three weeks only if no one else has placed a hold on that item.

What should I do with my "library pass" when I come to the library?
When you enter the library, leave the library pass at the circulation desk. At the end of the period, you may pick up the pass and return to class.

Do I need my ID to return books?
No, you do not need your ID to return books or to pay fines.

Can I check out magazines?
Yes, magazines may checked-out for one week. The newest edition of magazines are not checked out. 

Can I use the library databases from my home computer?
The library databases can be accessed through the library website and using the username gvstudent and password grizzlies.

May I use the library computers to check my e-mail?
Yes, you can check your student email; however, keep in mind many students need the computers to complete schoolwork.  If it is a high volume time, your email time may be limited.  

Do the library computers have any word processing programs?
Microsoft Office 2010 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher) are loaded on every computer. If you are working on something different from home, please save as a .rtf  file. 

Does the library have a "lost and found"?
Yes, it is located behind the circulation desk. Items left for more than several days will be brought down to the attendance office.

Can I stay in the library for Intervention?
Absolutely!  Sign in, and get your work done!  As long as you are doing school-related work, you are welcome to stay to work, read, or study!
