Thursday May 23rd & Friday May 24th from 4-7pm in the GV Dance Studio

 

***Candidates will receive required paperwork at the informational meeting on May 9th. Candidates MUST have all required paperwork in order to audition. Failure to bring all required papers on audition day will result in disqualification. Candidates must also attend both days to remain eligible.

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students:

 Are you interested in joining an elite group of boys and girls that love all things dance? This team is unlike any other team at Golden Valley; its unique members get to wear spectacular costumes, choreograph dances, and then perform them at school, sporting, community, and competition events where the audience is screaming just for you. We currently offer a competitive Varsity level team and a novice Junior Varsity team level.

 Whether you’re new to dance or a pro, this team offers the opportunity to learn new dance styles and showcase them. You'll get to experience everything from hip-hop, jazz, old-school, lyrical, character, pom, military, and more. Your amazing Choreographer/Coaches Terry Bixler and Michelle "Mel" Mullenger along with your dedicated Dance Advisor Lauren Heath, are ready to get you on board to support your school through dance.

  And while participation on GVHS Dance Team is one of the most exciting experiences you can have at school, it requires a serious commitment and each member must be physically and mentally able to perform the duties that go along with being a dancer. Membership is a year-round commitment and will require many hours participating in practice (including after-school and during summer), sporting events, and school events. Due to this, participation in other athletic or extracurricular activities and events will be extremely limited due to potential scheduling conflicts. You must be willing to commit to a full year on GVHS Dance Team, placing dedication to this team above all other sports, extracurriculars, and jobs.
