AP STATISTICS: Extra Help & Support

"Accept responsibility for your life.  Know that it is you who will get you where you want to go, no one else."

--Les Brown, Politician, 1945 - Present

Websites:
Do you need extra help on a concept we discussed in class?  Do you want to hear or see a statistics concept explained in a different way?  Are you interested in checking out topics we will discuss in the near future?  Please see the "AP STATISTICS:  Textbook & On-Line Resources" page on this website for several suggested on-line resources.

Also, if you find a cool website that is not listed, let me know!  If you share it with the class (and demonstrate some cool, unique feature it has), I just might be persuaded to give you a homework pass or a front-of-the-line lunch pass ... or some token of appreciation that is simply sublime.

Mathematics is amazing!  Technology is amazing!  Share your knowledge and experiences with mathematics.

GVHS Tutoring/Getting Help from Mrs. Flynn:

GVHS offers before and after school intervention on a weekly basis.  However this intervention is mainly for lower-level mathematics courses offered at GVHS (such as Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, etc.).

But... I can sure help you!  If you need my help, please ask!  I am generally available in my room (506) at lunch.  Please let me know when you want to stop by and I will make sure I am available to you.  There are occasions that I have lunch meetings; so I may not be available each and every time... but in general I am very available at lunch!  Bring your lunch to my room and let's get all your stats questions answered!

Form a Study Group:

The BEST way to study is to form a student study group!  I highly encourage you to exchange cell numbers and/or email contact information and form a study group with others in AP Statistics.  Your study group can even use my room at lunch!  Do this soon and often; and you will be pretty much guaranteed to do well in the course as well as the College Board test in May, 2019.

Extra Power Point Presentations:

Although these are not the presentations I will use in class, they are a good alternative resource to see/read the material presented in a slightly different way that may further your understanding of a given topic.  See the below PP attachments.  They are organized by chapter, by section.  As we progress throughout the semester and year, I will continue to post further PP's for your reference.

So, the question is ..... wait for it... what does THIS woman (by the way, that is Florence Nightingale) and THIS graphical representation (by the way (again), that is a polar-area diagram) have to do with statistics?

Google them!  It's super interesting... really!!
