PAC Senior Scholarship Award
Attention all GVHS Parents: Sign up as a member for the 2023-24 Parent Advisory Council and your graduating senior may apply for this scholarship! Applications are due by 5/3/24.
The Golden Valley High School Parent Advisory Council (PAC) offers graduating high school senior scholarships in the amount of $500.00 each to acknowledge the achievements of high school seniors for volunteer service in the school and in the community.
The Golden Valley High School PAC scholarship funds are available to high school seniors graduating between January 1st and June 30th of the current academic year. The scholarship is to be used during the fall semester/quarter following high school graduation at an accredited college or university, community college, or trade/technical school.
The scholarship recognizes volunteer service in school and in the community and has a 2.5 grade point average requirement. The applicant must:
1. be a California resident
2. be a student graduating from Golden Valley High School
3. have a parent or other family member signed up with our Parent Advisory Council (or $10 processing fee)
The final application packet must include:
1. A completed application form.
2. An essay describing:
a. your career plans, goals, objectives, and other information you feel would be valuable to the selection committee.
b. all school service-related activities.
c. your volunteer service in the community.
3. One reference form and letter in a sealed envelope.
