Golden Valley and our Career & Technical Education staff are committed to providing ongoing and current courses and curriculum to assist our students in planning for their futures. We currently have nine Career Pathways: Culinary Arts, Information Technology (Computer Science and CISCO networking), Health Science (Sports Medicine), Video Production, Multimedia Design, Digital Photography, Fire Science/Emergency Medical Response, and Educational Careers. We are in the process of developing additional Career Pathways that we believe will meet the needs of our students as they enter the 21st Century workplace.

In all Golden Valley HS Career Pathways there is an overall emphasis on developing work-place skills and academic rigor that enables our students to become better qualified to compete for a career of their choosing. Our career courses allow students to discover their talents, skills, and abilities and then chart an appropriate path toward career choices in order to produce a more informed, satisfied, and productive workforce.
Career pathway opportunities offer students an opportunity to concentrate on specific cluster of courses that will reward them with a certification within their chosen field of study. Sign-ups are done in the Counseling Center.
