This week Golden Valley HS will celebrate Career & Technical Education with a week of activities during the lunch period. While most of these are intended to encourage students to learn about our pathways and opportunities for learning, we 100% encourage you to join the fun. If you have a suggestion, I'd love to hear it - including after observing an activity.
PATHWAYS FEATURED:
MONDAY - Video Production, room 605: Video Production students will share their work and enthusiasm for all things Video Production. Mr. Dueschle will be on hand to answer questions about the pathway and keep the flow of the presentations moving forward. TUESDAY - Information Technology, room 513: Mr. Perkins has selected several students to share their work and experience with students. Mr. Perkins will be sharing what career options are available to students who complete the pathway.
WEDNESDAY - Education, room 405: Renee Marshall (COC TEACH Director) will be on hand to share her enthusiasm for teaching and the pathway. She is bringing goodies for attendees (these are typically really cool items). Plus, Lyzetth Rios will have current students available and will share photos of the activities her students have done this year.
THURSDAY - Sports Medicine, room 306: Fabrizio Apodaca has agreed to share his experience in Sports Medicine with our students. Kristin Yates will explain the pathway and options for careers to interested students.
FRIDAY - Culinary Arts, room 520: Chef Cindy, from COC, will join Dana Bobek in the classroom to share the love for Culinary Arts and the pathway to becoming a chef. While I don't know if Chef Cindy will bring treats, some yum will be shared.
